Prentice Hall's phony "science"

Some of the phoniest and worst "science" textbooks that we ever have seen belong to the Prentice Hall Science series -- nineteen volumes that are sold for use in middle schools. The original versions of all nineteen were dated in 1993 (though they actually were issued in 1992). Here are reviews of the 1993 versions of six of the Prentice Hall Science books, a review of the 1994 versions of the same six books, and a review of the 1997 version of another book in the series.
Pointer Reviewing the 1993 version of Motion, Forces, and Energy
Pointer Reviewing the 1993 version of The Nature of Science
Pointer Reviewing the 1993 version of Heat Energy
Pointer Reviewing the 1993 version of Evolution: Change Over Time
Pointer Reviewing the 1993 version of Heredity: The Code of Life
Pointer Reviewing the 1993 version of Electricity and Magnetism
Pointer Reviewing the 1994 versions of the same six books
Pointer Reviewing the 1997 version of Exploring the Universe
